Why should I have a MedsCheck?

  • patients who are taking multiple medications
  • patients who have type 2 diabetes
  • have you recently been discharged from hospital?
  • have there been changes to your medications recently?
  • do you need to monitor your medications effectiveness (eg,  Blood thinners INR levels?)
  • do you have any questions about your current medications and if you need to be taking them?
  • would you like to understand your medications better?

Who should have a MedsCheck?

Gerringong Pharmacy offers an in store medication review service called a MedsCheck.  During these consultations our professionally trained pharmacists will discuss with you what your medications are used for, how they should be taken and how they can potentially affect different medical conditions.  These services are performed in a private consultation room and are provided free of charge.
